Details required to use the Utility Accounts service
For all services, you will need to provide:- A daytime contact telephone number
- Your date of birth
- One of the following forms of identification:
- Australian Drivers Licence
- Medicare Card
- Current Passport (from any country)
- Real Estate Agent/owner details if renting
- Your new address details
- Name of current utility suppliers
- Address details of the property you are moving from
- Billing/forwarding address
- E-mail address

Important information about the service
Once you have completed the Moving Services utility accounts online application form for connections, an Australia Post representative from Fast Connect will call you to verify your identity, confirm your Customer Reference Number and to authorise any additional services you may require such as PayTV or Internet connections.
Although we arrange the connection and disconnection of utilities immediately, please be aware that all connections are subject to provider lead times. Your Australia Post representative will notify you if any services will take longer than this expected timeframe.
If you have completed the Moving Services utility accounts online application form for disconnections, you will be sent a confirmation email containing your Customer Reference Number.
